The Flying Dutchman Rises Tonight!

The Lyric Opera 2012-13 season continues tonight with an all new production of The Flying Dutchman by Richard Wagner at 7:30.  The Company would like to thank everyone who is involved in the production which we are sure the audiences will love!  In honor of the opening, we have added the show program below so you can learn all about the production as well as a preview article of The Flying Dutchman by Paul Horsley at The Independent and an interview with R. 2012-2013 Season Announced

This weekend the Lyric Opera of Kansas City announced its 2012-2013 season.  The season kicks off in September with Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, continues with Verdi’s Il Trovatore in November, resumes in March 2013 with Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, and concludes in April 2013 with Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado.  Subscriptions are on sale now, go to kcopera.org for more information.

2012-2013 Season Announced

The Lyric Opera of Kansas City announced it’s 55th season, which includes Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, conducted by Ward Holmquist
and directed by Bernard Uzan with Richard Paul Fink as the Dutchman.  Read the full announcement in the 2012-2013 Season Announcement Press Release below.
