Unless you live in a cave in Kansas City, you have probably seen or heard of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, which is due to open this September. A lot of arts events have been announced for the first year in the grand building, but it hasn’t really been apparent how big this year may be for the arts scene in Kansas City. Luckily, Steve Paul at The Kansas City Star took a look at the upcoming year and pointed out what he believes are the highlights. What is represented is only a small amount of the world-class art that will be taking place in the surrounding Crossroads area in Kansas City metropolitan area this year.
